Frequently asked questions

What opportunities are there for promotion as a trainer or consultant?

You can expect within two years to be a senior consultant. And within three years to be managing project teams. But there is no limit to how quickly you progress.

=mc prides itself on its strictly meritocratic approach.

Where can I expect to be in five years time having joined as a training/fundraising/ management consultant?

You will:

  • be a managing consultant or principal
  • have worked with some of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit organisations
  • have worked overseas
  • have coached and managed other consultants

What is the interview process like?

We normally have group interviews at first to establish your ability to interact well with others. We then usually do one or two individual interviews with a case study or practical presentation as the focus.

The aim of the interview process is to allow you the chance to show us you at your best.

=mc's ideas and practical approaches have consistently proved powerful and helpful in our work. I would whole-heartedly recommend =mc to anyone looking for high quality training and consultancy.

Kate Gilmore, Executive Deputy Secretary General, Amnesty International

=mc has a wealth and breadth of knowledge, a terrific understanding and vast experience of the ethos and culture of the not-for-profit sector. This together with their 'anything is possible' approach made =mc an obvious choice for the RNLI to partner with, to develop and deliver in-house training for our staff.
