In-house training

=mc has a wealth of experience in creating customised in-house development programmes for a wide range of organisations within the not-for-profit sector.

In-house training is when =mc trainers deliver a programme exlusively with people from your organisation on dates to suit you and at your chosen venue. These high impact learning programmes can be delivered on a short or long term basis.

Why choose in-house training?

Value for money

Bringing =mc training in-house makes the most of your training budget.

Programmes are priced by the day rather than by participant, enabling your organisation to get the best return on investment. By running training at or near your premises, you can save on travel and accommodation expenses.

Flexibility

All of the programmes in this brochure can be tailored to address your training needs, issues and processes unique to your organisation.

After consultation with you and your team, expert =mc trainers can modify elements of programmes, add new components or combine two or more courses into an integrated programme.

We also have significant experience of creating totally bespoke programmes to fit with specific criteria.

Relevance

The real-life application of =mc in-house training is a key benefit.

Our tailored or bespoke training addresses specific needs that you have identified and is immediately relevant back in the workplace.

Participants will work on live issues and projects, and develop skills and approaches they can use straight away on their return to work with measurable, personal and organisational outcomes.

Practical solutions

We draw on the best and very latest in management thinking and we balance this with well-established models. The emphasis is always on practical solutions and proven techniques. =mc programmes are delivered by our expert management trainers who have extensive practical experience in their particular area and of the not-for-profit sector.

We can help in a variety of ways:

Evaluation

We place particular emphasis on evaluation in all our work. Each participant is asked to complete a detailed questionnaire after the programme.

This is analysed by training and support staff at =mc and shared with you, the sponsoring body, to ensure the training met your needs and our rigorous quality standards. It also enables us to continually improve programme content, trainer input and customer service here at =mc.

Equal opportunities and diversity

=mc is an equal opportunities organisation and we recognise the importance of equal opportunities to our customers. All of our consulting and training staff are required to be sensitive to the issues of culture, disability, gender, race and sexuality. These requirements are reinforced and built into our:

  • contracts
  • staff inductions and training
  • appraisal and supervision
  • codes of practice

In addition, =mc has significant experience of working cross culturally and helping develop diversity awareness.

Investment

Our standard fee for in-house training is £1,150 per trainer day and from £2,000 per director day, plus expenses and VAT. This includes:

  • pre-course briefing
  • trainer preparation
  • trainer fees

This does not include the cost of documentation which is charged from £16.50+VAT per head.

Pre-programme consultancy days, if required, are charged from £650+VAT and expenses per day.

workshop

=mc has a wealth and breadth of knowledge, a terrific understanding and vast experience of the ethos and culture of the not-for-profit sector. This, together with their 'anything is possible' approach, made =mc an obvious choice for the RNLI to partner with, to develop and deliver in-house training for our staff.

Marie Smith,
Training & Development Manager, RNLI

We have been very impressed with =mc’s professionalism and flexibility in delivering tailored training for us. As an international NGO, we require different approaches to training across the globe. =mc has supported us in assessing the needs of our delegates around the world and delivered training with truly sustainable results. The feedback from our staff has been excellent – I look forward to the new programmes we have being delivered around the world next year!

Claire Oliver,
Senior HR Officer,
Sightsavers International

The training delivered by =mc has been highly creative and makes you really re-examine your own approach to learning. It’s refreshing to work with a training provider that is supportive and really understands the culture of our organisation.

We think =mc should re badge as +mc, because working together with =mc has given Bury council added value and helped us build the capacity of our managers to deliver improved services to the community. We like the professional approach =mc takes in planning and delivering high quality training. The research is carried out at the right level, and the delivery is innovative and creative. We always evaluate return on investment in staff development, and evaluation of the programmes =mc delivered indicates that our staff apply the learning directly back to their job and so we continuously improve our performance.

Former Head of Organisational Development,
