Fundraising Consultancy
Local Authority Sponsorship
=mc has developed three unique offerings to help local authorities scope and exploit their sponsorable assets:
Sponsorship diagnostics
A one-day programme at your premises designed to get you started on the road to effective sponsorship fundraising. During the morning we'll run a senior management/member briefing – addressing strategic issues from sponsorship definition to pricing and asset management.
The afternoon comprises mini-clinics for each participating department, analysing specific sponsorship challenges and opportunities and how they might be addressed.
The Sponsorship Diagnostic is aimed at heads of department
and other senior managers.
Sponsorship potential audit
For a detailed investigation into what sponsorship funding your authority might achieve and how best to set about it, we recommend the intensive Sponsorship Potential Audit.
Using a unique =mc methodology we offer a full internal and external analysis of sponsorship opportunities across the authority. It will provide you with an integrated analysis of needs and assets, current and potential sponsors, asset pricing, competition and the current sponsorship environment in your locality.
The resulting comprehensive report provides you with a realistic estimate of just how much you might make, identifies key partners at a local, regional and national level and recommends practical 'how to' next steps.
These include:
- Reviewing planned and actual results by department
- Identifying and quantifying sponsorable assets
- Investigating, listing and prioritising potential sponsors
- Identifying strengths and weaknesses in an authority’s reach of sources of income
- Benchmarking against other authorities and other organisations competing for sponsorship funds
- Identifying areas for potential growth or at risk of decline
- Assessing the authority’s donor and contact reach
- Assessing the external environment
- Competitor analysis
- Assessing the capacity of the fundraising staff and identifying training needs
Sponsorship programme
We also help build internal capacity in the authority through a training and coaching programme tailored to address specifically the skills and awareness needs identified during the Sponsorship Potential Audit.
This intensive 2-5 day programme provides detailed guidance through any organisational changes required. It offers training for key individuals taking on fundraising responsibility or for whole departments.
During this programme, we also work with you to start raising sponsorship funds and establish sustainable practices and processes.
