Kitty Hilton, Senior Consultant
Kitty has worked strategically with the not-for-profit sector for a wide range of clients which include the Macquarie Group Foundation, Outward Bound New Zealand, Mary Potter Hospice, Surf Life Saving Australia, Mission Australia, Chamber Music New Zealand, Sydney Jewish Museum and WWF.
As both a business analyst and as a fundraising professional she is highly experienced in strategic planning, leadership and relationship management, fundraising and marketing.
Kitty is a decisive, proactive, strategic and lateral thinker with a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and has a proven capability for encouraging high performance.
Specialisms
Strategic planning: Kitty has extensive experience of strategic planning and of conducting strategic audits. While her particular focus is on helping organisations to generate revenue efficiently and effectively, building and sustaining the organisation's revenue and support base into the future, her work often brings her into a much deeper involvement in organisational wellbeing.
Capital campaigns: Kitty has planned and managed a number of capital campaigns helping to raise millions of dollars. These have included the recruitment and training of volunteer boards, development of marketing campaigns, advice and support on developing relationships with prospective donors.
Specialised fundraising strategies: Kitty has helped a number of organisations to focus on priority areas of fundraising that will offer the most effective outcomes and to put in place the strategies and the marketing plans to move these forward. These programs include major gifts, bequests, regular giving and more.
Executive coaching: Kitty offers executive coaching to Board members, CEOs and senior managers. The coaching covers preparing or reflecting on major projects or providing guidance and support to improve performance. Coaching is available on a one-off or long-term basis.
Tony Maynard, Senior Consultant
Tony is a senior consultant with the Management Centre Australia. He has worked in the not-for-profit sector in Australia and internationally including Fiji, India, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa and Rwanda.
His customers have included international organisations such as Operation Eyesight Universal and Fred Hollows Foundation as well as national organisations such as Pathways Foundation and the National Australia Bank.
Tony is =mc's expert in team and leadership development, with particular experience in delivering large-scale corporate change interventions.
Tony's work is based on the use of experientials, which help bring theory to life and promote a high level of ownership to the participant.
Specialisms
Leadership development: Tony works closely with clients to help them realise the changes required for their organisation. The approach is one of building a higher level of self-awareness and understanding of the environment and issues, followed by developing strategies to implement change
Team building: Tony works extensively in assisting teams to function in a healthier manner. Utilizing formal team development models such as those by Tuckner and Katzenbach and Smith, he supports the team in acknowledging its "current reality", and the steps that are required in order to further their evolution.
Communication and influencing skills: Tony has supported senior managers and teams in developing effective communication, influencing and conflict resolution skills. The focus is on building effective relationships such that the quality of communication and understanding is increased.
Charlotte Grimshaw, Senior Consultant
Charlotte Grimshaw provides consulting and specialist research services for fundraisers and grant makers in Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific. Charlotte Grimshaw has twenty years experience in the voluntary sector in Australasia and the UK.
Work in the UK included Marketing and Fundraising Director for Greenpeace UK, Head of Fundraising for the Royal Shakespeare Company. In Australia she has done extensive fundraising development and consultancy work with, among others, The Australian Bush Heritage Fund, the Bell Shakespeare Company, Medecins sans Frontieres and ChildFund.
