What we're looking for

Trainers & consultants

=mc has three basic approaches to hiring:

  • experienced individuals who come with a background in training or consultancy
  • fast track individuals who might be young high achievers keen to break into the field
  • experienced managers without a background in consultancy and training, but keen to move in to the field

Mostly though, we’re looking for individuals with a particular approach and commitment to work. Whatever your background you should be:

  • commercially aware (=mc is a business and works in a very business-like way) and in touch, or prepared to get in touch, with the new realities of the not-for-profit sector
  • passionate about the contribution that not-for-profit organisations can make to society
  • concerned with issues of social justice and keen to see how management development, management consultancy and fundraising can help make a difference
  • committed to customers and colleagues and want to work to the very highest standards
  • excited and engaged by management consultancy/fundraising/training and have a demonstrable interest in how organisations work
  • comfortable working in an ambitious, fast expanding, small business
  • able to bring some additional skills or experience to add to our pool

We’re very keen to employ people with a proven track record of achievement in their field – whether your background is business, charities, education, local government, the voluntary or cultural sector. You should also be ready to learn a significant body of new skills.

Our current team brings work experience as diverse as INGOs, charities, theatres, housing, health and other commercial consultancies.

=mc's ideas and practical approaches have consistently proved powerful and helpful in our work. I would whole-heartedly recommend =mc to anyone looking for high quality training and consultancy.

Kate Gilmore, Executive Deputy Secretary General, Amnesty International

=mc has a wealth and breadth of knowledge, a terrific understanding and vast experience of the ethos and culture of the not-for-profit sector. This together with their 'anything is possible' approach made =mc an obvious choice for the RNLI to partner with, to develop and deliver in-house training for our staff.
