Who attends?

Over the last 16 years more than 700 arts and cultural organisations – representing local authorities, theatres, galleries and museums – have benefited from The National Arts Fundraising School. Past attendees frequently get in touch to tell us about successful fundraising projects. The course has helped them to raise funds ranging from £25K to £45M.

The School’s success is largely due to the diversity of the individuals who attend from both large and small organisations.

You’ll be among marketing managers, development officers, communications directors, administrators, general managers, artistic directors, local authority arts officers and festival organisers, all of whom are responsible for fundraising in some way.

If you have any doubts about whether The National Arts Fundraising School is right for you, please call Bernard Ross or Ann-Marie Kelly on 020 7720 6042.

You'll be in outstanding company

The course was absolutely first rate and I’ve not stopped recommending it. I’m glad to report that by following =mc’s guidelines and insights my fundraising strike rate is 100%. To press, I’ve raked in more than £80,000 since attending in 2001.

George Harris, Development Manager, Horse + Bamboo Theatre (2004)

The week was a fantastic training opportunity and had a great dynamic. The structure was excellent, well-balanced with a lot of the breadth and scope on a wide variety of topics. I gained lots of fundraising tools and skills and made valuable connections for the future.

Deirdre McGrath, Exhibitions & Promotions Manager, Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums

As a fundraiser with 10 years experience, it's difficult to find training which genuinely teaches something new. The National Arts Fundraising School certainly did that throughout and provided inspiration for a new corporate membership programme. I would recommend the course wholeheartedly, to new and experienced fundraisers alike.

Corporate Development Manager, National Galleries of Scotland

I loved it! It was really useful to me, especially as a newcomer to the arts sector and fundraising. The course gave me comprehensive and thorough coverage of all aspects of fundraising, and it was a great opportunity to learn from other arts organisations as well.

Louise Goodlad, Sponsorship Manager, Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Successes since The National Arts Fundraising School? Another lottery award grant of £139,000 for a literature development initiative. With the other funds I raised this is now a £250,000 project. The application for the cinema and live music venue goes up before the Council shortly – about £5.5m. Well, as you say on the course, you have to ask...
