I’m enjoying working for a range of organisations to grow fundraising in response to some of the world’s most pressing issues – including International Rescue Committee, MSF, WWF and UNHCR. I particularly enjoy helping organisations explore future potential and defining how best they can build on opportunities and minimise risks.
I was the project lead for the major donor project for The Commission on the Donor Experience and am now a member of the steering group for the Institute of Fundraising’s Special interest Group on the Donor Experience.
It’s now 15 years since I joined =mc’s consultancy team, so before =mc is a long time ago! My direct fundraising was setting up corporate fundraising for British Heart Foundation and then growing major donor fundraising at NSPCC. I was lucky to be heading up NSPCC’s major donor team at the time that we created the Full Stop Campaign. I still look back with pride at the aspiration NSPCC set for the sector. I became deputy director of fundraising at NSPCC and then moved into consultancy.
