Eman is a business analyst with =mc. She has a background in social and cultural projects where she has undertaken a variety of roles in Egypt, where she is based. Among the organisations she has carried out assignments for are the British Film Institute, Amber Associates Newcastle, World Wide fund for Nature UK, and WaterAid.
In Egypt she has worked for some high-profile agencies including Cluster Cairo, Goethe Institut Kairo, Resala Charity Organization, and Care international
My expertise is focussed around research and analysis:
I’ve just finished working on an analysis for the BFI of how charging has impacted on the demographic of young people attending a national programme of trainings designed to encourage young people to take part in the film industry. My next big project will involve surveying worldwide members of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent to assess their views on a new system to support international work
After completing my Bachelor degree in Economics from The American University in Cairo (AUC), I decided to work in the social development sector so I worked in Resala Charity Organization as Public Relations and Fundraising representative.
After that I worked as a logistics coordinator at Goethe Intitut Kairo, during my tenure of work I was able to see social work from the eyes of a funder agency. My interest in arts led me to undertake a role as a Visual Arts Coordinator at the international Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival. After that I joined Cairo Lab for Urban Studies, training and Research (CLUSTER) as their Lead Programme Coordinator with whom I participated in the execution of different programmes in the areas of Art in Public spaces, Architecture, Urban development and creative economy. I was responsible for all aspects of programming starting from securing grants until execution.
Prior to my work with =mc, I worked at Palm Hills Developments one of the biggest Real Estate development companies in Cairo which enabled me to secure the corporate experience and commercial marketing strategies.
