Georgina Wright

Georgina is a Learning & Development Consultant at =mc. She specialises in management development and performance management.  Having previously worked in fast paced environments in the commercial world, she has several years’ experience in the sector.  Her experience includes working as an HR generalist and managing volunteers. Before working at =mc, Georgina provided advice and guidance to all levels of managers and staff.  She also supported the delivery of various projects and organisational change programmes.

Her current and recent projects include:

Working with Evolve Housing + Support and Surrey Police to develop and run workshops covering: leadership skills, coaching, feedback, challenging conversations, enabling performance and getting the best from teams.

In addition, Georgina coaches individuals to overcome the current challenges they are facing and has worked recently with individuals and groups from a wide range of third sector organisations including the London Borough of Hackney, The Roundhouse, The Challenge, Central St Martins, UCL and Surrey Police to develop their management skills.

At the moment

I am currently focusing on upskilling managers at all levels to enhance their ability to successfully manage themselves, their teams and projects. This includes a range of learning approaches such as practical training programmes and 1:1 coaching.  I have developed and facilitated feedback training for various organisations, delivering this alongside key Management Skills, Project Management and Time Management skills training.  I been working with the organisations above as well as WWF and the MS Society, Reading University, Friends of the Earth, Action Against Hunger and Evolve Housing + Support.

I have hosted a number of very successful open programme ‘pop ups’ which have had a wide variety of delegates and organisations in attendance.  These are a real pleasure for me as they give great networking opportunities for delegates as well as the opportunity to share the challenges that are currently facing the sector.  Delegates are able to share how they tackle these challenges which most recently include: funding uncertainties due to Brexit and the need to diversify income streams; doing more with less to get greater results; the impact on the third sector of evolving public services; decreasing trust from the public for the ethical sector; and of course, GDPR legislation.

Before =mc

Before =mc I worked in Management, L&D and HR, both in the commercial and third sectors.  I provided support to staff and managers on all employment issues, identifying the best solutions in all circumstances.  Throughout my career I have achieved the most satisfaction supporting others to improve both professionally and personally.  This has drawn me back in to learning and development.  Having volunteered extensively oversees and in the UK for third sector organisations, I am inspired by, and really passionate about this sector.


During my career I have had the pleasure to develop and facilitate numerous bespoke learning interventions.  A particular focus has been improving organisational effectiveness on team away days.  During sessions teams successfully identified ways to improve working, creating shared visions and aligning individual goals with strategic objectives.

I have upskilled managers to lead large change projects with confidence and facilitate team cohesion and effective performance at all times.  In addition to interventions increasing organisational effectiveness and efficiency, I facilitated project teams in matrix structures, preventing conflict in highly pressured environments.

I am passionate about the huge value of timely and effective training interventions.  I understand the enormous impact that individual managers have on individual and organisational performance. I therefore also train and coach managers to improve their interpersonal skills, overall effectiveness, team and individual performance.

It gives me great satisfaction to see people learn practical tools and techniques that enable them to achieve better results each and every day.
