Matt is a senior associate researcher with =mc, and Co-Founder and Managing Director of Giving Insight. Matt’’s specialist interest areas include global fundraising market research, competitor analysis and benchmarking, high net worth individuals (HNWIs), trusts & foundations and prospect research training and mentoring.
Matt’s major gift and research customers range from international agencies like ActionAid and HelpAge International to UK domestic agencies including Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and Blackpool Museums.
I’m working on a number of national and international projects including identifying donors for a number of cultural agencies including Magna Vitae, formerly East Lindsay District Council and higher education customers such as Hull University. My most unusual gig- working on securing global donors for MEF, the Argentinian Museum that is home to the world’s largest dinosaur. (Three stories high…)
Prior to establishing Giving Insight and linking with =mc, Matt was Research Manager at THINK Consulting Solutions, a position he took up after running his own research company Hands On Research. He also worked in-house for numerous charities prior to becoming a consultant, and so understands the needs and pressures associated with delivering fundraising objectives.
Matt’s passion for knowledge sharing and research intelligence has seen him launch numerous websites, but he is perhaps best known for creating the world’s first global fundraising resources website (formerly fResource).
