Developing, coaching and inspiring teams for greater results

This flagship training is specially designed for non-profit managers to be the stepping-stone to higher performance and greater responsibility. It provides new insight into how to engage, motivate and align teams – and how to develop teams and individuals to higher levels of performance.

The programme is organised alongside a series of models and cutting-edge frameworks, offering management theories, the chance to lead a small workgroup in a ‘live’ project, and an analysis of your own management style preferences. The two days also look at the key motivation theories behind individual performance, different models of leadership, and the importance of flexibility in leadership style.

Who is the programme for?

This intensive programme is for managers looking for a way to extend and develop their skills and confidence, or more senior managers keen to refresh or renew their existing skill set in the light of changes at work.

For those interested in a more strategic approach, see our Strategic Leadership programme.

“A most enjoyable course, I learned an immense amount. In particular, the concise analysis of my leadership style provided by the Intelligent Leadership model has given me a much better understanding of how I need to adjust my approach for different members of my team.”

Terry Brown, Head of Programme Development – Prison Fellowship

Outcomes for you and your organisation

After two, highly focused days you will:

  • understand the difference between leadership and management – and when to use each
  • adapt your leadership style according to the person and the situation
  • apply Emotionally Intelligent leadership to challenging situations
  • shape and develop high-performing teams through effective coaching
  • give and receive effective feedback to improve performance
  • engage your team by identifying individuals’ motivation

“A huge thanks from me to everyone who’s been involved in planning and delivering the programme. Personally I’ve found it hugely beneficial, it’s given me so much to think about. I keep dipping in and out of my workbook as things arise – it’s such a useful resource – and have used bits of it with the managers in my team too. I definitely feel like my confidence has grown, along with my skills and knowledge.”

Carrie Myers, formally Head of Volunteering at MS Society
