Jules specialises in fundraising, presentation skills and leadership development. She spent nine years working in the commercial world before becoming Deputy Director of Fundraising & Marketing at one of the UK’s largest children’s charities, Action for Children.
I am currently developing and delivering communications and fundraising programmes for a range of organisations including delivering Presentation Skills for Greenpeace, Fundraising with Impact programme for The Prince’s Trust and working on a Negotiation Skills programme for Care International with Charlotte Scott.
Before joining =mc, I worked for Bass Leisure Retail. Starting out as a Retail Operations Manager, running pubs in Birmingham, I did stints as a Competitor Analyst and Customer Service Manager. Following this I found a more worthwhile role working in corporate fundraising at Action For Children (formerly NCH) where I headed up the Children’s Promise campaign. I then went on to become their Deputy Director of Fundraising & Marketing, with responsibility for fundraising projects, HR, Finance, Database and Supporter Care.
Once I joined =mc I realised that my real passion lay in teaching and coaching. There is nothing to beat seeing the positive impact of learning and development on individual and organisational performance.
In my spare time, when not on a train commuting from Birmingham, I am an active Trustee of two Birmingham charities: Moor Pool Heritage Trust and Birmingham LGBT.
