Charlotte specialises in leadership development, team facilitation and strategy development.
Charlotte worked for over 20 years in the not-for-profit sector. Before joining =mc seven years ago, she created and implemented a development programme to build the effectiveness and long-term sustainability of partner organisations around the world.
This year the whole not-for-profit sector has been adapting rapidly what they do and how they do it. I have the privilege of supporting a range of organisations with Leading Change programmes. This includes delivering an online change programme for managers at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, supporting them to design and lead change, and to support their teams through change.
I have recently delivered an online Leading your Team through Change training course for managers at the Victoria & Albert Museum. I am also supporting the senior leaders of the Diocese of Manchester through an online six-month Change Leadership programme.
I am continuously inspired by how effectively people are adapting, by how proactive, flexible and innovative they are. Not to just do things differently, but to identify and grasp opportunities to do things better.
Like =mc, many organisations have shifted to remote working, and I am delivering a lot of online Managing at a Distance training programmes, most recently for the Edinburgh International Book Festival. I am also supporting staff at the Joseph Rowntreee Foundation, to develop their online Facilitation Skills, expertise and confidence.
Project management remains one of our most popular training programmes. I am delivering this online for a number of organisations as well as running our public Project Management programme.
Staff well-being is a key focus for most organisations and I am delivering a range of resilience programmes, including a suite of bite-size resilience sessions for staff at Independent Age.
I am delighted to be working with the World Food Programme, winners of the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. I am overseeing a suite of online training programmes which we are delivering for them over the next year. Topics include presentation skills, fundraising, change and influencing and negotiation. These online programmes are supporting their teams all over the world, which is causing some early starts and late finishes, but is hugely rewarding.
Before joining =mc I worked within the international not-for-profit sector in the UK and in Asia, for organisations such as Plan International and World Animal Protection. In my last role I was responsible for leading a global team. We created a development programme for partner organisations to support their long-term sustainability and impact. This involved helping the organisations to run a self-assessment of their capacity. Followed by bespoke support on strategic planning, board development, leadership, fundraising etc.
I am very passionate about the ethical sector and about developing individuals and teams to achieve sustainable results. I also love working with senior management teams, helping them to prioritise, create effective internal collaboration and shape their culture. And overall to remove any obstacles that get in the way of staff delivering excellence.Contact Charlotte Scott
