Charlie Scott

Charlie specialises in leadership development, team facilitation and strategy development.

Charlie worked for over 20 years in the not-for-profit sector. Before joining =mc learning over ten years ago, she created and implemented a development programme to build the effectiveness and long-term sustainability of partner organisations around the world.

At the moment

Over the next few months, I am looking forward to working with a range of organisations to support managers to get the best from the teams, both through our Management Development Programmes and our Advanced People Management programme. For example, I will be back in Leeds delivering a management programme with Northern Ballet. And I am working with YMCA Downlink Group for the first time on a programme for their full management team.

I am also looking forward to delivering a new Transformational Leadership programme for Unicef UK. This is a bespoke programme involving a 360° leadership questionnaire and five modules delivered over five months from November.

Our Change programmes continue to be in demand as managing change and responding effectively to change are both key skills. I am currently running a Supporting Yourself through Change programme for Arthritis UK, to help people develop a personalised toolkit to support their wellbeing during times of change.

Our Project Management programme continue to be popular, and I am working with UK Sport to run this online and face-to-face for their teams. As well as delivering a Project Leadership programme for their project sponsors.

Before =mc learning

Before joining =mc learning I worked within the international not-for-profit sector in the UK and in Asia, for organisations such as Plan International and World Animal Protection. In my last role I was responsible for leading a global team. We created a development programme for partner organisations to support their long-term sustainability and impact. This involved helping the organisations to run a self-assessment of their capacity. Followed by bespoke support on strategic planning, board development, leadership, fundraising etc.

I am very passionate about the ethical sector and about developing individuals and teams to achieve sustainable results. I also love working with senior management teams, helping them to prioritise, create effective internal collaboration and shape their culture. And overall to remove any obstacles that get in the way of staff delivering excellence.
