Laura specialises in project governance and management, as well as leadership and management development.
Laura has 8 years’ experience in the charity sector, in particular developing and delivering regional volunteer and community projects. Before joining =mc learning she was Project Officer at Sustrans, managing their London, East of England and South East volunteer programmes, focussing on project management, learning and development, and support and advice for staff and volunteers.
This summer is all about growth with supporting leaders, sparking innovation, and equipping teams with the skills to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Creativity & Innovation are at the heart of progress, which is why I’m excited to be delivering sessions with Rethink and the Association of Anaesthetists to support people in embracing curiosity, and turning ideas into action.
I’m also working as an executive coach with a number of leaders and managers across the sector, helping them build the skills, mindset, and confidence to navigate challenges and inspire their teams.
And that’s not all, I’m also collaborating with Nonprofit Builder to design and deliver a Project Management Programme for their global network. From planning to execution, we’re equipping people with the tools to lead projects with clarity, adaptability, and impact.
I started my career in the environmental charity sector developing and delivering community conservation projects before moving on to recruit, train and manage staff and volunteers to deliver excellent customer service for the National Trust.
Whilst at Sustrans I was the lead project officer working on innovative volunteer-led projects within communities across London, including working with the Greater London Authority (GLA) to raise awareness about air pollution in London. I was responsible for the development and delivery of the Sustrans volunteer strategy across three regions. My love of developing and delivering training programmes supporting volunteers and staff has led me to concentrate on a career in learning and development.
