At the moment
We believe that Project Management Skills are crucial for anyone at any point in their career and the groups I’ve been working with from Historic England, Henley Business School, Lighthouse, Poole Centre for the Arts and Ember Climate agree! We’ve been looking at establishing proper project governance as well as exploring a range of project management tools.
In the next few months I will be working with a number of organisations to support people in developing their communication skills for a range of formats including Tearfund and National Deaf Children’s Society in how they influence effectively and World Food Programme in their Presentation Skills. In the next few months I’ll also be working with managers and leaders from Action Against Hunger, Social Work England and Spike Island to deliver tailored leadership and management development programmes in our virtual classroom. We’ll be exploring a range of topics supporting leaders and managers to increasing their emotional intelligence and enable their teams to deliver results and high performance, through times of ambiguity and challenge.
I started my career in the environmental charity sector developing and delivering community conservation projects before moving on to recruit, train and manage staff and volunteers to deliver excellent customer service for the National Trust.
Whilst at Sustrans I was the lead project officer working on innovative volunteer-led projects within communities across London, including working with the Greater London Authority (GLA) to raise awareness about air pollution in London. I was responsible for the development and delivery of the Sustrans volunteer strategy across three regions. My love of developing and delivering training programmes supporting volunteers and staff has led me to concentrate on a career in learning and development.
