Supporting future managers to grow
This programme has been specially designed to help individuals thinking about making their first step into a people management role. It provides a space for participants to reflect and explore what people management is all about and whether this is a role they aspire to. For those where promotion is not currently an option, it offers a great opportunity for development. This ensures that when managerial positions arise, they are ready to make the transition.
This highly practical learning combines a self-directed approach with two sessions. Participants are introduced to practical tools and techniques in essential management skills and are then encouraged to practice these approaches through structured on-the-job learning activities between sessions. Development is supported by a comprehensive learning journal that participants work through during the programme, and they are provided with a series of models and frameworks to structure their thinking.

Sorry the date doesn't work for you this time.
All our public training is scheduled when enough demand is there, so please
register your interest here, and we'll let you know as soon as a new date is set.
If you have 6 or more people to train it's worth getting in touch to discuss in-house options.
These include:
- your choice of structure – as well as choosing dates to suit you, you can also decide whether to have the content delivered full days, half-day sessions or bitesize sessions over separate days.
- tailoring options – if you're looking to focus on particular elements of the programme, we can look into this.
- developing internal processes – by bringing your team together, you can adapt =mc approaches to develop your internal language and time management approach. Our trainers will hold facilitated discussions to gain group commitments and agreements
- self-directed learning – this enables participants to set learning goals, acquire knowledge and skills, set their own actions and evaluate themselves using a customised web portal which we'll build for you.
In order to make sure your in-house training needs are met, the best way to start this process is with a conversation (for free of course).
Contact us online or call
074 3690 3103 to speak to one of our experienced consultants.
For more information on the differences between online and face to face training, as well as our social distancing guidelines, visit our
Learning and Development page.
If you choose to bring this programme in-house, the content will be adapted to support your succession planning and talent development approach. Ultimately it will help your employees to understand what is means for them to become a manager, while giving them the opportunity to assess their strengths and areas for development.
6 or more people to train? Get in touch to talk about bringing the programme in-house to your organisation or call us on +44 (0)74 3690 3103. We have a variety of delivery and content options on offer depending on your needs and budget.
